I have been really busy at work lately and do not have much time to view blogs. I was hit with a disappointment at work because company IT department suddently blocked us from using blogger a week ago. I have writen my frustration on my "Unhappiness at work place" when it happened.
Today, when I was just going to read my friend's blog at blogspot, I was surprise it didn't pop up the block message window which usually says "block by content advisor". So, I try my luck to login to blogger and viola!! I can access all the blogger pages now. I am so happy to find out about this. I suspected that I can have access to it now because yesterday when I couldn't download file from my work website server (which previously can), IT done something to lift up the blocking website for my login user so that I can download my work file from my work server. Hahaha.... (fading laugh) Now I can freely access blogger at work now. Just hope that they won't geniously change my company login settings from now onwards.

Five don't when you are sleeping
I found this article useful. It can help us improve our sleep and maintain a good health in the long run. The last tips is rather funny but true.... DON'T SLEEP WITH WATCH DON'T SLEEP WITH BRA DON'T SLEEP WITH PHONE DON'T SLEEP WITH MAKE UP Lastly..... DON'T SLEEP WITH OTHERS' WIFE / HUSBAND
Watches can emit a certain level of radioactivity. Though small, but if you wear your watch to bed for a long time, it might have adverse effects on your health.
Scientists in America have discovered those that wear bras for more than 12 hours have a higher risk of getting breast cancer. So go to bed without it.
Putting the phone beside your bed or anywhere near you is not encouraged. Though some of us will use phones as alarm clocks, but please put the phone as far as possible. Scientists have proved that electrical items including mobile phone and television sets emit magnetic waves when used. These waves can cause disruptions to our nervous system. Therefore if you need to put your mobile phone near you, switch it off first.
People who sleep with make up might have skin problems in the long run. Sleeping with make up will cause the skin to have difficulty in breathing and problem in perspiring. You will also need a much longer time to go into deep sleep.
You may never wake up again.

Shouldn't ask me these questions
I was being tag by LemonJude on the 8 questions people shouldn't ask me. After very much thinking, here are the 8 questions I consider it will send my temper to the boiling point if were to ask again and again.
1) Why are you not getting married???
[When I am, I will tell. Don't need to ask me each time we meet.]
2) Why are you so thin already???
[Well, I don't know. I don't feel thin as I can still wear most of my clothing as before. I feel I am getting fatter also. Very weired some people ask me this question.]
3) Why you eat so little rice???
[I don't like rice, as I would answered. And this is not why I got thinner. I eat more on other things.]
4) Why don't you like eating rice???
[Sigh... don't like means don't like! Same as people don't like durians. Don't keep asking again and again this question I consider stupid after I have already answered.]
5) Why you always work overtime???
[If I always stay back late at work means I am really dead busy with work. Hate it especially when I am in pressure to meet dateline and some keep hurrying me to finish faster. Who don't want to finish work faster and go home early? I am of course doing my very best to complete my task and go home relax. I am not those people who likes to stay late in the office just to show off to bosses that they are hardworking while faking it.]
6) Why it takes you so long to answer my question???
[When I don't answer you right there and then means your questions is hard to answer and I am really seriously thinking on the answer. Not to simply giving you an answer to shut you off. Shouldn't pressure me on giving you answer fast on hard questions else it takes me longer to come up with the truthful answer.]
7) With your look, why don't you safe yourself from the sufferings of working life and go find a rich husband???
[Duh! Who doesn't want that? You think if you want you'll definitely get it? It's not like shopping you know?]
8) Are you bored sitting alone here?
[The place where I sit in the office is a cubicle of four desk. Since January this year, I am the only one sitting there and my surrounding area is quite empty. I love this privacy and quietness where I won't need to be aware of other people snooping around what I do. Definitely not bored as I got IM. And it's really irritating when everyone pass by ask me am I bored sitting alone here. And I got to answer to the many same question every time.]
Those who have told the TRUTH are:
Ogre the Caveman
Janice this is a miracle
Trinity from Rooms of My Heart
rinnah from It’s all about the spin…
Giddy Tiger from Giddy Tigers
Leah from Leah’s Cafe
K.I.A.S.U.M.U.M

Unhappy at work place
I generally like working at my current company which I have been faithful since March 2003 (minus one year that I left). I don't have much complaints about my work, just generally unsatisfied with the monthly salary, and the occasional dull & childish company events that participation being made compulsory.
Just not too long ago, I started blogging seriously. I found many benefits of having a blog now. Besides having interest in putting my thoughts in words, I can earn some money through blogging too (that's because working here makes me poor). I can choose to work somewhere else of course, but I rather stay because I like my work scope and office location I guess. There is not many big company with the same type of industries like my company in Malaysia. Hence, I am stuck here for now.....
Lately, I have found the joy of spending my free time on Blogger during working hours. I know it wasn't exactly the correct working etiquette but who would actually commit his working time 100% on full concentration on work and work alone? I am pretty sure at least 99.9% of workers will procrastinate their working time in reading junk mails and doing other things unrelated to work during the 8 official working hours. Even if it is not being done everyday, it would be at least one-two time a week. I am greatly distress that my company IT department has recently blocked the Blogger website. I can still read post though. What is the use when you cannot login at all? Sigh..... what a bad omen. First, it was Friendster and YouTube, then now Blogger??? At first, Hotmail was also baned but it was lifted later. MSN Messenger is also baned even until now but I have permission to use because of work.
What is this culture they are trying to instill here? Treating us like children by restricting our freedom? We seldom see this kind of thing happening in western countries. What should be most important is we as employee able to deliver what is require of us to do in our work, nothing else matter isn't it? As long as we do not breach company policies or doing anything illegal that tarnish company's image, so why bother with those childish restrictions? I thought the world now has become more civilized and working in a global company will have a difference. Seems that I was wrong all these while.....

Girl’s night out
I had a nice time out with my girl-friends on weekends consecutively for the past two weeks. One day each week. Both times were with different friends group but still I found it enjoyable.

22nd Sept – Gatherings with college mate at Station 1 Cafe, Pandan Indah. It was a girl’s night out for all the girls in my group of college friends. There were six of us (excludes JL’s boyfriend). I haven’t met them since…. SL’s wedding. Although the meet up was a bit short for me because I have to leave early, but the whole time was just great for me to eat out with friends. I ordered Omelets served with fries and salad. The Omelets taste good and the potion was just nice for a normal girl’s appetite. I ordered hot honey for my drinks as I was having soar-throat at that time. It was a bit too sweet for me though. SL and MY arrived late and I didn’t have much time catching-up with them. Oh, I almost forgot that MC announced that her wedding would be in October next year. Probably will be held in Ciao Restaurant – definitely a nice change from the conventional Chinese wedding dinner.
28th Sept – Gatherings with primary school mate at Pavilion, KL. There were six of us, girls who were best buddies in primary school. We still pretty much keep in touch with each other until now. However there were only four of us who could meet out for dinner last Friday. I had always enjoyed going out with these group of friends. Not only we had the longest surviving friendship, but we also truthfully share our sad and good life time stories with each other (though some things are still remain secretive). We browse through all the available restaurants and lastly we settle down for a nice meal at Nandos because food price were more reasonable there. For those who are not aware, Pavilion, KL is a newly opened shopping mall at the heart of KL’s Golden Triangle. Most of the shops and restaurants there cater for a higher range income group people. With their sophisticated names and classy designed inner structures, no wonder their parking rates are sky high too. If I am not mistaken, they charge RM3 for 1st hour and additional RM0.50 for every half hour for the parking fees.
Really nice going out with a group of girl-friends once in a while to unwind, retuned and get away from hectic unforgiving personal life.

Garage Cabinets
I think every household has their own sets of junk or tools they need to store away in their home. I think it is important that people have proper cabinets to store those things. Things like hardware tools, paints and highly inflammable items need to be store in cabinets for safety and keep your house clean and tidy. And choosing the right cabinets is very important because some items are not suitable to be store in a wooden cabinet for an example. For those dangerous and highly inflammable items, it is best to store it in a metal cabinets because it provides better protections and it last longer. Metal cabinets are the most suitable for your garage storage. To safe you the hassle of buying it at the store, you can purchase your cabinets online at CarGuyGarage.com

Ski Holiday in Europe
Watching English movies especially during Christmas time has always been a great amusement for me because I can usually see nice holiday scenery with white snow covering a picturesque movie backdrop. I also enjoys watching characters in the movie where people played with snow or go skiing as a holiday retreat. We do not have snow in our country but it is a nice feeling imagining how it is like. I have heard of the amount of fun you will get by going for ski holiday in Europe countries. There are places like Courchevel, France or St Anton, Austria or Verbier, Switzerland among others that you can choose from. It would be nice if can go for Luxury Skiing holidays with family and friends. Searching through the internet, you can find many website offering luxury ski chalets for your stay in your favourite skiing destinations. If you plan to go to Meribel, France for holiday, you can easily find a nice luxury ski chalets in Meribel at the SuperTravel website.

Discrimations!!!
I know there are discriminations practically everywhere in the world. Since in my childhood years, I have always avoid being discriminated whenever I could. During schooling years, we usually will experience or witness any form of discriminations in school. It is the place where we most probably learn what it means to be discriminated. In Malaysia, Malay teachers favours Malay students, Chinese teachers favours Chinese students and Indian teachers favours Indian students hence theachers may give a better grades for students in their same race and the rest got discriminated just because they are in a different race. This is usually the case. If it is not severe, we might not notice it that much because it happens all the time. When we were young and innocent, we tend to accept the fact of what's happening although we know discriminations is not right.
I think most of us had our own experience of being discriminated if not in adult life, then it must be from our childhood life whether we can still remember it or not. Sad to say, it has become a part and parcel of life. Discrimating society exist when we were young and it was being brought up when we were older. It happens in school and it happens at the work place. Once my mom told me about her colleague who is a non-malay top senior management staff at her office got pulled out from whatever ideas he gave during their meetings. He is the one who always gave all those brilliant ideas in the meeting until one day, the CEO called him to his office. The CEO told him that he do not have to say all his ideas out during meetings because he is a non-malay and no one will listen or take any action to consider implementing his ideas even though it is good and relevant. That's what the CEO told the senior top management level personel who is my mom's colleague. Although my mom's colleague is highly qualified in his field of specialties and has the right accademic qualifications, the position he held there at the public company is always limited. This is DISCRIMINATION!!! If you are a Malaysian, I think you would have guessed what race the CEO of the company is by now.
I remember when I was in primary school, some of my friends who are smarter will somehow discriminate those students who are less intelligent in the "last grade class" by not being friends with them and calling them names. And those rich or famous group of friends will always group up together and if they have any activities, they will exclude out those not in their "group". As childred learns from their surroundings and follow the example of the adult people, do we want to instill this kind of discriminating ways of living into our children's mind? The worst thing is sometimes discrimination even happens in our own home. If you, as a parent portray an act of discrimination to your own children, what a shame.... and it's truly a sad, sad thing to know. If you discriminates others, one day you'll be discriminated too. What goes around usually comes around.
