Movie day out

On 14th October 2008, just 2 days ago I went for a movie with my sister, David, my dad and two of our church friends at Cathay Cineplex Damansara, beside The Curve. David had 6 exclusive preview screening for Max Payne movie tickets by Cinema Online. Max Payne is not in cinema until today the 16th of October 2008. The best part is... we get to watch it FREE even before the movie opens for official viewing!

Before the movie started at 9.15PM, we had our dinner at Sakae Sushi located at The Curve. I ordered a Sushi Set and a steam egg (forgoten what they called it) as side order. It was yummy and very filling. I was too hungry to remember to take a photo of the dish. Because it was a working day and with traffic jam in a rainny day, we reached there pretty late so we have to quickly have our dinner and walk over to the Cineplex for the movie.

This movie came from a video game called Max Payne. In Malaysia, it is rated 18PL. Having lots of action pack scenes due to the story based on detective investigations with a twist of religious notions such as angels and demons. I have not heard of this video game before this. So, I am clueless as what the movie is about before I watched it. It turns out quite to my liking. I like how the story was twisted, leaving no clue as to who is the actual bad guy is, not until the end. Sometimes when you watch a movie, you can somehow able to guess or pin-point who is the bad guy but in Max Payne story, it's quite unexpected to those who have not encounter this video game before.

The movie ended around 11PM. There was a long queue when paying for our parking tickets. On the way home it started raining very heavily. I reach home around 12AM. Tired but it was a nice ending for the day.
