The Art of Being Well

How I wish that I may never grow old and stay young forever. I think many of us will have this kind of thoughts especially when we get old and our organ and body systems began to loose its functions. I remember just a few years back, whatever problems I had, my health is the least of the problem. But now seeing my parent’s got older and having some health issues to be dealt with, my perception of literally taking my health for granted has changed over time.

No doubt, I am still in my twenties but my mom told me that I should better take care of my health while I am still young because once you are older and fall sick, the worst thing is knowing that you could prevent those kind of sickness from happening if you just pay attention to your health. You cannot turn back time and no use feeling regret about it later. It is just like when you were enjoying yourself speed driving in a busy road and got to a very bad accident and lost a limb. Or the most common thing are many smokers among us. All smokers knows smoking is bad for health and they are not afraid of it because it takes quite a long time before they really fall sick. But when they do or their love ones had cancer due to being second hand smoker, most of them will regret it for the rest of their life. It’s no use crying over spilt milk.

Some information here on the topic The Art of Being Well by Dr. Dráuzio Varella.

If you don’t want to be ill… Speak your feelings.
Emotions and feelings that are hidden, repressed, end in illnesses such as gastritis, ulcer, lumbar pains, and spinal problem. With time, the repression of the feelings degenerates to become cancer. So, we should find a confidante, to share our intimacy, ours "secret", our errors! The dialogue, the speech, the word, is a powerful remedy and an excellent therapy!

If you don’t want to be ill… Make decisions.
The undecided person remains in doubt, in anxiety, in anguish. Indecision accumulates problems, worries and aggressions. Human history is made of decisions. To decide is precisely to know to renounce, to know to lose advantages and values to win others. The undecided people are victims of gastric ailments, nervous pains and problems of the skin.

If you don’t want to be ill… Find solutions.
Negative people do not find solutions and they enlarge problems. They prefer lamentation, gossip, and pessimism. It is better to light a match than to regret the darkness. A bee is small, but produces one of the sweetest things that exist. We are what we think. The negative thought generates negative energy that is transformed into illness.

If you don’t want to be ill… Don’t live by appearances.
Who hides reality, pretends, poses and always wants to give the impression of being well. He wants to be seen as perfect, easy-going, etc. but is accumulating tons of weight. Don’t be a bronze statue with feet of clay. There is nothing worse for the health than to live on appearances and facades. These are people with a lot of varnish and little root. Their destiny is the pharmacy, the hospital and pain.

If you don’t want to be ill… Accept.
The refusal of acceptance and the absence of self-esteem, make us alienate ourselves. Being at one with ourselves is the core of a healthy life. Those who do not accept this, become envious, jealous, imitators, ultra-competitive, destructive. Be accepted, accept that you are accepted, accept the criticisms. This is wisdom, good sense and good therapy.

If you don’t want to be ill… Trust.
Who does not trust, does not communicate, is not opened, is not related, does not create deep and stable relations, does not know to have true friendships. Without confidence, there is not relationship. Distrust is a lack of faith in you and in faith itself.
If you don’t want to be ill… Do not live life sadly.
Good humor. Laughter. Rest. Happiness. These replenish health and bring long life. The happy person has the gift to improve the environment wherever they live. “Good humor saves us from the hands of the doctor". Happiness is health and therapy.

On my personal note, prayers play a very important role too. I felt the below passage from the Bible very comforting.

28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest…”
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Home Medical Supplies

Whenever I go out for a few days trip for holiday, I would usually go searching for some small pill box (like a very small plastic bottle) where I could store my daily boost of vitamins. But those small portable pill box is hard to find. I could not find it any where in the pharmacies here. What they usually have are those 7 days pill box which doesn’t suite my fancy. But now I know that I could find what I need from AllegroMedical.com

What is more convenient than shopping online for home medical items? AllegroMedical.com has over 50 thousand products offer at their online retail website. You can shop by category, shop by brand, and shop by condition. Besides selling medical equipment and home health care supplies, AllegroMedical.com also sells mainstream consumer products such as Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear.

Guys only gaze at pretty girls?

At the usual bus stop underneath an LRT station is where I waited for the “free ride” bus, if I took the LRT to work in the morning. Sometimes it takes longer than usual for the bus to arrive; hence what I do during the interim time is observed my surroundings area besides day dream once in a while.

I can’t help but noticed that a lot of guys like to look at girls. Not just look at the girl, and look somewhere else. But it’s the kind of look where they look at the girl (3 seconds), then look somewhere else, then look at the girl (a few more seconds), if the girl not looking their way, they will stare and gaze at the girl for a longer time until probably when they feel embarrass (which I lightly think they would), they would stop. Thinking of this, the guys probably has a reason for doing it because the girl is pretty and pleasant to the eyes? Mind you, they gaze at the girls from head to toes with a “drunkard” like expressions which I consider it rude! Only God knows what they where thinking at the back of their head.

It’s a normal perception that guys will gaze at pretty girls. No? If not, then they must be gay… Ops! Sorry, I don’t mean to offence anyone here. My point is, usually guys only look at pretty girls. But I found out something interesting but not really unusual. There’s a time where there is this over size girl walking pass, and immediately I try to look around trying to catch if there is any guys there gazing at the over size looking girl. Oh! And I found that there is! And the guys look at her from head to toes too. I think the only difference is they would have a totally different kind of perception or crude thinking on the over size girl comparing to any pretty girls they saw.

Before jumping into any conclusion, I had my little observation for 3 more months. And I extended my place of observation to restaurants and eateries places. In my observation, guys do normally gaze at pretty girls and also those not so pretty but pleasant looking enough. If they were together with their male group of friends, they will usually tell their friends there and then on their “sported treasure” and probably have their topic of discussion on girls. If you are an over size girl, the worst place you would want to be gazed at is at eateries places. Because the guys will not only look at your appearance, they will also look at what you have ordered for food and see how you eat. So, who still thinks that guys only gaze at pretty girls?

It seems cruel on how society views the subject of beauty and what’s acceptable or not. But that’s the way it is. Note the above does not apply to older woman which would be an entirely different scenario. Yet, the subject of beauty is a grey area which we could not draw a line to differentiate what is acceptable or not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

"Beauty in things exists merely in the mind which contemplates them."

8 Ways to Scare a Telemarketer

I had a little laugh having read this funny but useful tips on how you could scare off telemarketers. If you are constantly at home, especially SAHM, you would probably have experienced having some strangers calling you trying to sell you something.

For me, I am most annoyed by banks or insurance company calling me on my mobile phone asking me to buy their so called special insurance plan. They would say that it only takes about 5 minutes to listen to the insurance plan they are proposing and they spoke like a bullet train. How am I supposed to digest everything and with clear understanding on the insurance plan in 5 minutes before deciding to purchase it right at that moment? They will also further persuade me to agree with it because the registrations is simple, just by saying yes the required monthly insurance premiums need to be paid will be automatically charged to my credit card and they will send me the details in 2 weeks time. I wonder how many of you out there has fallen into this selling schemes and how many have actually taken but cancel off later.

Here are the 8 ways to scare a telemarketer that I read about:-

1. Ask him to talk v-e-r-y slooooowly, because you want to write down every word he says.

2. When he introduces himself (eh. Sam), immediately say, “Wah piang eh? Sam! Long time no see, man! How are you! Are you still living in that old place?” This should stun Sam for a while, as he scrambles to remember where he might know you from.

3. After he finishes his marketing spiel, tell him he must marry you first before you sign on.

4. If he says he’s Tan Ah Seng from ABC Pte. Ltd., ask him to spell his name. Then ask him to spell his company name. Then ask him where it’s located. Continue asking
him personal questions about the company for as long as you feel like it.

5. Insists the caller is actually your friend Benny, playing a joke. “Eh Benny, don’t like that leh! Stop playing the fool! Seriously, Benny, how’s your mother? Is she out of the hospital yet? Etc. etc.

6. After he finishes his pitch, say in a very creepy voice, “Thank you for calling
me. I don’t have many friends…....do you want to be my friend?”

7. If he asks “How are you?” Tell him, “Wah lau, got so many problems. My fish all
died, then my mother and father has this argument until the neighbors called the
police, and then it got worst, don’t know why, but my crotch was itching the whole day, so I went to the clinic and then…..” Continue till he hangs up.

8. Tell him you’re busy at the moment, and ask him for his home number so you can call him back. He’ll try to give his office number, but insists on his home number. When he says he can’t give his home number, ask him, “You don’t want some funny stranger calling you up at home and disturbing you, is it?”

Some news about Google PR

I have just log on to Smorty and found a new discovery on the most recent commotion about Google Page Rank (which confirmed my earlier suspicion). I have now change something on my blog because of this. The news said that Google latest changes is regard to sponsored postings. They have primary targeted PayPerPost (short form PPP) members blog and reduce their page ranks because of Google new ranking criteria now is based on quality contents not just plain advertising. Wow! What a big blow off that is. This definitely affects a lot of bloggers who majority of us are PPP members.

Smorty is kind enough to let us know and offer some advise because they know many bloggers are suffering from the PR drop that hinders them from getting good paid post offers.

  • Google can follow your sponsor post tags to determine if you are being paid for your post. So, what you need to do is remove all your sponsored post tags on each post, if you have.
  • If you are a PPP member, remove all you PayPerPost tags in your blog such as "hire me" and "review me". Any general affiliate banners is safe to have.
PPP is the 'king' of all paid to blog advertising network. That is why it is Google's primary target. As we all know, Google PR is the 'king' of all search engines ranking. So, it is now come to terms that a 'King' from a large region attacking the 'King' from another region. I guess PPP already knew what actually happen to the Google newest PR but I don't see them prominently letting bloggers know about it or have I miss out their announcement about this somewhere? Anyway, will PPP actually going to suffer much because of this new PR thing? As I know, PPP bloggers are the one who is currently being largely affected. Who do you think is the one who is suffering the most between the two?

Italy attractions: Rome, Venice, Milan

Some of the world’s most famous monuments and historical sights can be found in Italy. Italy is also the place where there exist many artistic and intellectual movements that are well known throughout Europe and beyond. Their artistic heritage includes the achievements of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, any many others. Hence, Italy is definitely a place where it will unfailingly provide you with tons of attractions and widen your horizon. This is definitely the place where I wish to go.

When you got the chance to go to Italy, Rome (the capital city of Italy) is a place where you would not want to miss your stop there. You have got to visit the Colosseum (often consider as the symbol of Rome), the Vatican (place of hosting the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church – The Holy See), Trevi Fountain (having a famous legend attached), and The Pantheon (one of the most complete Roman Imperial era buildings still standing).

Other famous places to visit in Italy are Venice and Milan. You can visit Piazza San Marco, Gondola Ride, St Mark’s Basilica and Grand Canal in Venice. Go have a once in a life time experience traveling through the canals in a gondola while having your meal and sighting the magnificent buildings in the city along the way. In Milan, there is no shortage of attractions in this one of the largest city in Italy. Here you can visit Cathedral of Milan, Leonardo da Vinci Museum, Castello Sforzesco and go shopping of course. If you love shopping for designer brand and love fashions, then Milan is a place for you because it is renowned as the world capitals of design and fashion.

Young and pretty lady wishes to marry a rich guy

Title: Young and pretty lady wishes to marry a rich guy. Fantastic reply from a financial person

A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum:
Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?

I'm going to be honest of what I'm going to say here. I'm 25 this year. I'm very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above. You might say that I'm greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York. My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual salary? Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you? Among those I've dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden (?), $250k annual income is not enough.

I'm here humbly to ask a few questions:
1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
2) Which age group should I target?
3) Why most wives of the riches is only average-looking? I've met a few girls who doesn' t have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys
4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (my target now is to get married)

Ms. Pretty

Here's a reply from a Wall Street Financial guy:

Dear Ms. Pretty,

I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyze your situation as a professional investor. My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone believes that I 'm not wasting time here.

From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain. Put the details aside, what you 're trying to do is an exchange of "beauty" and "money": Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square. However, there's a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can 't be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It' s not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worried 10 years later.

By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a " trading position". If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term – same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or " leased". Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Hope this reply helps. If you are interested in "leasing " services, do contact me Signed, XXXXX

Part 2: Beloved Sister's Wedding ~@ 07-07-07

This is the second part to the long awaited continuation of my beloved sister's wedding that I blog about few months back (first part). To those people who always read my blog, sorry for the long wait ya. I was waiting for those photos ready so that I can post some of the nice pictures here.

In the early morning of the wedding day, around 6am the makeup artist came over to my house to start putting on makeup for my sister. I was still sleeping (obviously). Not long after that, the three bridesmaid arrived one by one and later had their makeup done by the same makeup artist. I like my sister's makeup. Looks nice and naturally done. It doesn't look cake-up at all. I woke up around 7.15am still feeling sleepy. I just put on a very simple attire for the church wedding reception without any makeup on. I looked terribly tired and ugly that morning because lacking of sleep. Anyhow, it was a wonderful and joyous occasion that I would not want to be missed.

Around 9am, David (the groom) arrived at my house. The bridesmaids and few other friends had played a prank on the groom with their well planed obstacles task that he has to go through. There are a few stages that the groom has to go through in order to be allowed into the house to see the bride. Seeing them perform their very best was very memorable and hilarious at the same time. My sister was waiting in the room upstairs throughout the whole time while the groom was being 'tortured' downstairs.

Around 10.30am, everyone started leaving my house to go to church for the wedding ceremony which began around 11am.

I am happy to see my sister looking so happy throughout the day. And I am sure she felt her happiness deep down in her heart too. It was such a fast moment from the time the announcement of their wedding came a year ago and to the time where the actual day of the wedding took place. I wasn't very prepared to welcome that day. Seems a little hard to grasp at that time. My beloved sister is getting married. Gosh! As much as my mind wanted to accept that fact, my heart was a little burden by it. Partly because I would missed having her around all the time I guess. And those sorts of memories that we spend time together before she got married will never be written the same again.

Part 3 of my beloved sister's wedding will be coming up next. I will be talking about the memorable wedding dinner on that eventful 7th of July 2007.

Tada!!! Cute and lovely.

WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN
This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen and is so true:

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. Wewalked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.

My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said,"This isthe Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer arereceived."

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so manyangels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets andscraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and DeliverySection. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for areprocessed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."

I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels workinghard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested andwere being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at thedoor of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel wasseated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Aknowledgment Section,"

My angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed "How isit that there is no work going on here?" I asked.

"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings thatthey asked for, very few send back acknowledgments ."

"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.

"Simple," the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord."

"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.

"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roofoverhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in adish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy ."

"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% inthe world who has that opportunity."

Also ......

" If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... youare more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day ."

"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness ofimprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ...you are ahead of 700 million people in the world."

"If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, threebillion people in the world ."

"If your parents are still alive and still married ...you are very rare ."

"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you'reunique to all those in doubt and despair."

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing inthat someone was thinking of you as very special and you are moreblessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read atall.

Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you want, pass thisalong to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Search for best Credit Card

We all are consumers and as a consumers, we have the rights to choose the best products or services that best suites our needs. The internet is the best place to search for any kind of information in a fast, reliable and timely manner.

For general searches, we will normally use google, yahoo or msn search engines. If you want to search for credit cards information for instance, there would be too many search results being displayed and it is hard to do a comparison between each products available. At such, it is best to go directly to a search engine which specializes in credit card products. CreditCardSearchEngine.com offers such services. The information contains in it are reliable because it is one of the internet’s longest running sites for online credit card comparison.

At CreditCardSearchEngine.com you could search for comparison on the Best Cash Back Credit Cards, Low Interest Credit Cards, Airline Miles Credit Card, Student Credit Card, Business Credit Card and many more. Search, compare, decide and apply online, this could save you a lot of time and that's what they call it "smart consumer".

Other use of baking powder

Did you know that out side the kitchen, baking powder is a great deodorizing and sanitizing agent as well? I have just recently found out about it. For a fresher home, just dust on this cheap and environmentally friendly formula.

  • Sprinkle some baking powder on the bottom of your garbage bag to absorb unpleasant ordour.

  • Spread some on your mattress before putting on the sheets to help keep it fresh-smelling.

Add a little baking powder into the toothbrush caddy to keep mould from appearing on your toothbrush handle.

Scatter some baking powder on your laundry pile if you have no time to wash your clothes so that it will absorb the stink.

Smokers at home? Pour a layer of baking powder in the ash tray to keep smells at bay.

Traveling by car in Europe

Want to try out something different holidaying in Europe? Try renting a car while you are there for a holiday trip. When you feel like experiencing something adventurous, do not sign up for those tour packages just yet. Go for free and easy tour around Europe, so that you could experience getting to places by trains and rent a car for a little more fun and adventure. Take heed, though it might be a joy to travel by car in Europe, sometimes it could also be a nightmare depending on where and when you drive. During summer time especially, countless millions of European pack up their family cars and drive to the mountains or beaches. This causes traffic jams who could robe off the charm of the most scenic European touring routes.

So, here are tips that could help you enjoy your car traveling trip in Europe:

When to come
If you plan to go to Northern and Central Europe, spring and fall season are the best times for a motoring vacation. In Southern Europe, winter time can be pleasant if you avoid the Christmas break. Try visiting in June, before the summer season reaches its peak if your calendar is tied to the school calendar.

Where to go
Try not to plain your car itineraries built around Europe’s largest cities. Because you will end up having to cope with nerve-wracking traffic, scarce parking, and unfamiliar regulations during all the while you were trying to catch a glimpse of the sights through the mass of cars, motorbikes and busses.

But don’t give up on the idea of car traveling just yet. Here are some of the driving strategies which are more practical to follow (resource taken from Europe for Visitors website):

  • Take the train between major cities. Rent cars for local or regional excursions, or for legs of your trip (e.g., Paris to the Riviera) where you want to stop and enjoy sights along the way.

  • Plan a motoring tour around smaller cities and towns. Enjoy your week in London or Paris without a vehicle, then pick up your rental car and start driving. Save other big cities for a future trip. (And don't be tempted to stay in a suburban hotel and commute into the city center--you'll miss out on the essence of the cities you're visiting.)

  • Visit a country like Denmark, Norway, or Sweden where even the largest cities are relatively car-friendly and you can leave town for driving excursions with a minimum of hassle.

On the other note on planning where to stay, you can pre-book your hotels online before you go, so to avoid the hassle of not being able to rent any rooms when you are there. I have some links here that could help you find the cheapest hotel rate for your stay in Europe. Bookings can be done online.

Change your life with houston Lap band

Being overweight is not a pleasant experience for many people. There are some who had tried countless method like dieting and exercising to loose that weight but it just doesn't works. Plastic surgery to be done on your whole body is just too risky and expensive. So many might just have given up. Are you one of them?

Well, there is a saying "If there's a will, there's a way". So, don't give up just yet because maybe you just haven't found the right way for you on loosing the excessive weight. Try houston Lap band. It is simple surgery procedure which inserts an inflatable adjustable gastric band through small (laparoscopic) incisions and positions the band around the upper portion of your stomach. This creates a small stomoch pouch and passageway into the lower part of the stomach. This procedure allows you the eat less to loose weight and feeling full and satisfied. This weight loosing method is definitely very suitable for those people who always over indulged and could not control their appetite. Go to www.journeylite.com to find out more!

Memory boosting

Have you been a scatter-brain lately? Well, I always have. Together with stress and hectic work load, things just got worst when my memory relapse happens. Usually our memories will deteriorate further when we got older. But sometimes we can find some people who just have such good memories even at old age. I thought it has something to do with your genes. No? Well, I am not exactly sure. Hence, I found a good memory boosting tips from a magazine.

Up antioxidant intake. An antioxidant-rich diet improves memory by lowering free radical damage. So, protect your brain cell by munching on cranberries, plums, broccoli, beets, oranges, red bell peppers and cherries. Hint: bright and intense coloured fruits and veggies are good for you!

Play an instrument. Scientists from University of Hong Kong state that instrument playing improves concentration and ability to remember information such as numbers, words and other mental tasks.

Get enough sleep. Researchers from the Harvard Medical School have found that lack of sleep affects the brain’s frontal cortex which control speech, memory and the ability to solve problems. That’s why it is so tough to concentrate or do anything really, when you are deprived of sleep.

Less TV. Trade the idiot box with crossword puzzles, books, or board games to keep brain active and curb mental disease such as Alzheimer’s. (On my personal note, does computer = TV? Can we trade the idiot box with blogging? )

Go Mediterranean. Mediterranean diets with a heavy mix of olive oil, butter, cheese and fish are rich in mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Scientists from the Italian Longtitudinal Study of Aging found that those on this diet scored better results in remembering things, paying attention and solving problems.

Amazing 3 year old

Watch this video about a 3 year old who could create amazing drawings with his own bare hands. This kid is definitely a prodigy. I really don't know how his parents train him to draw like that. I think it is very much to do with the child's own self discovery and amazing talent. And it definitely helps a lot with his parent's encouragements. At such a tender young age he could paint like a pro. I could not even draw a cup that actually looks exactly like it is. Seeing this little kid who could paint the Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtle's face really put me in awe. And he does it so clean and simple. Truly AMAZING!!!

I just wish that people won't use this kid as a profit generator for their own's benefits and restrict his freedom when he grows up in the future.

Wonderful working day on 7th November

7th November 2007 is Deepavali eve. My company allow all staff to leave early at 4pm (if work permits). Well, I am not going to miss out this opportunity to go home early, so I am among the first to slowly glide myself out of the office door. Haha...

It was Wednesday, and unlike many other Wednesday, mid week work crisis always happens. Thank God it's a nice and relaxing day at work for me. I can spend my time clearing off my office e-mail box junkies and help up one of my London based colleague on his projects. Time for me to pay out the many favours he gave me... hehehe...

Also 7th November is a very special day for my beloved sister. It's her birthday. "Happy Birthday, Sis. May you have a wonderful time celebrating your birthday and happy marriage! May God bless you abundantly."

This wish was originated from Tot's Mom.

Web hosting plan with unlimited domain

Seems like there are many bloggers out there who is serious enough about blogging, that they owns more than one regular blog at the same time. And many has begun to invest in purchasing their own web domain and finding a good web hosting.

For those owning multiple blogs and intends to have their own domain, it can be quite costly to have to pay for each and every web domain together with multiple web hosting accounts. But with hostmonster review, you can get special rate of $4.95 per month for hosting UNLIMITED website under one account. This not only beneficial to bloggers who owns multiple blogs, but it is also very suitable for business owners who wants to host their business websites.

Travel places: Spain

The country Spain the one of the three most visited countries in the world. It is also widely known by their famous regions in the country such as Barcelona which hosted the 1992 Olympic games, and Madrid which is famous of their soccer team Real Madrid. Besides being famous by their sports all around the world, Spain is a great place to go for a holiday too.

Spain is has many monuments and sights, rich in heritage which is the outcome of the different civilizations that once set foot in Spain. You may experience sunny weather, and try out their delicious Spanish cuisine. Interesting places like Torre de Bujaco and Muralla de Avila in Spain, is a must to go places. Click here for a list of best rate hotels in spain.

If you have a longer holiday time to spend in Spain, the two famous regions that I have mentioned earlier must be your next place to visit. In Barcelona, you can visit Sagrada Familia, La Boqueria, and Gothic quarter, among the many others historical monuments there. One of the picture below showing the pillars inside Sagrada Familia which are designed like trees. There are also many more other interesting places to visit in Spain. You can go to Madrid and visit the Prado museum, botanical gardens, and royal palace. I wish I could go for traveling to Spain.

Korean Movie: 200 Pound Beauty

I watched this Korean movie quite some time ago. Thanks to Ald for buying this original DVD for me to watch. It is a very nice movie with lots of touching moments that can put some tears to your eyes if you really imagine that you are a very big size girl. Well, of course if you are a big size girl in real life, I am pretty sure you will die to get a chance to watch this movie.

As the title says "200 Pount Beauty" meaning you can be big and fat but you can look beautiful too. No, that is not exactly what the movie is all about. It is about this girl Hanna who is a lip sync vocalist for Amy. Because of her appearance, she is always being humiliated by Amy in front of Sang-jun, her secret love. Amy is totally jealous of Hanna and could not except the fact that Sang-jun befrended Hanna dispite her appearance. Sang-jun is not like the majority of the guys who only eye on beautiful girls. He befriended Hanna because he likes her beautiful personality more than her appearance. Until it reaches a time where Hanna could not take the humiliation further, she decided to have plastic surgery from head to toe. So, after the huge transformation of Hanna's appearance, will Sang-jun returns Hanna's unrequited love? Watch the movie to find it out for yourself.

Overall, this movie doesn't bores me at all. I would love to watch it again when I have the time. Hmm... I think girls will enjoy this movie more than guys. Unless the guys wants to watch the very beautiful Korean actress Kim Ah-joong. She is my favourite Korean actress now. With a very sweet, young and angelic face, and prefectly nice body, she definately makes all the guys drooling and the girls admiring her beauty for hours. How I wish I could look like her! It's every girl's dream.....

Life without limbs

Must know this - that God has good plans for us. This message is by Nick Vujicic.

James 1:2- "Consider it pure joy, my Brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds."
......To count our hurt, pain and struggle as nothing but pure joy? As my parents were Christians, and my Dad even a Pastor of our church, they knew that verse very well. However, on the morning of the 4th of December 1982 in Melbourne (Australia), the last two words on the minds of my parents was "Praise God!". Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it. The doctors we shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other baby.

The whole church mourned over my birth and my parents were absolutely devastated. Everyone asked, "if God is a God of Love, then why would God let something this bad happen to not just anyone, but dedicated Christians?" My Dad thought I wouldn't survive for very long, but tests proved that I was a healthy baby boy just with a few limbs missing.

Understandably, my parents had strong concern and evident fears of what kind of life I'd be able to lead. The first biggest hurdle was for my parents to be at peace and trusting that God was in control. It took a number of months of tears, questions and grief before that complete overtook their hearts. God provided them strength, wisdom and courage through those early years and soon after that I was old enough to go to school.

There are a few people who assume that because of my physical disability that it meant that I'd also be mentally disabled. The law in Austr alia didn't allow me to be integrated into a main-stream school because of my physical disability. God did miracles and gave my Mom the strength to fight for the law to be changed. I was one of the first disabled students to be integrated into a main-stream school.

I liked going to school, and just try to live life like everyone else, but it was in my early years of school where I encountered uncomfortable times of feeling rejected, weird and bullied because of my physical difference. It was very hard for me to get used to, but with the support of my parents, I started to develop attitudes and values which helped me overcome these challenging times. I knew that I was different but on the inside I was just like everyone else. There were many times when I felt so low that I wouldn't go to school just so I didn't have to face all the negative attention. I was encouraged by my parents to ignore them and to try start making friends by just talk ing with some kids. Soon the students realized that I was just like them, and starting there God kept on blessing me with new friends.

There were times when I felt depressed and angry because I couldn't change the way I was, or blame anyone for that matter. I went to Sunday School and learnt that God loves us all and that He cares for you. I understood that love to a point as a child, but I didn't understand that if God loved me why did He make me like this? Is it because I did something wrong? I thought I must have because out of all the kids at school, I'm the only weird one. I felt like I was a burden to those around me and the sooner I go, the better it'd be for everyone. I wanted to end my pain and end my life at a young age, but I am thankful once again, for my parents and family who were always there to comfort me and give me strength.

Due to my emotional struggles I had experienced with bullying , self esteem and loneliness, God has implanted a passion of sharing my story and experiences to help others cope with whatever challenge they have in their life and let God turn it into a blessing. To encourage and inspire others to live to their fullest potential and not let anything get in the way of accomplishing their hopes and dreams.

As I grew older God continued to prepare my heart and teach me to seek Him. One of the first lessons that I have learnt was not to take things for granted. I had that wake up call around the age of twelve and realised just how much I was blessed with. I take my foot for granted, my family and the fact that I wasn't born in a third world country all blessings that God had freely given and I still complain? I came across;

Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the best for those who love Him."
That verse spoke to my heart and convicted me to the point where that I know that there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these "bad" things happen in our life. In;

James 1:3&4 - "...know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
I had complete peace knowing that God won't let anything happen to us in our life unless He has a good purpose for it all. I completely gave my life to Christ at the age of fifteen after reading John 9. Jesus said that the reason the man was born blind was "so that the works of God may be revealed through Him." I truly believed that God would heal me so I could be a great testimony of His Awesome Power. Later on I was given the wisdom to understand that if we pray for something, if it's God's will, it'll happen in His time. If it's not God's will for it to happen, then I know that He has something better. I now see that Glory revealed as He is using me just the way I am and in ways others can't be used.

I am now twenty-one years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector. For more information on Nick's presen tations go to "Nick's Ministry".
In recent years, I have learnt to become independent and can now take care of all my personal needs. I can do everything from brushing my teeth, combing my hair, dressing up, taking care of my personal hygiene and even shaving. I get around the house by jumpin' around and, outside the house, I get around in an electric wheelchair. I love to swim, fish and play soccer. I have a passion for reaching out to youth and keep myself available for whatever God wants me to do, and wherever He leads, I follow.

I have many dreams and goals that I have set to achieve in my life. I want to become the best witness I can be of God's Love and Hope, to become an international inspirational speaker and be used as a vessel in both Christian and non-Christian venues. I want to become financially independent by the age of 25, through real estate investments, to modify a car for me to drive and to be interviewed and share my story on the "Oprah Winfrey Show"! Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year. It will be called "No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!"

You might think these goals are too far-fetched. However, I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and if it's God's will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! What's worse is putting limits on God who can do all things. We put God in a "box". The awesome thing about the Power of God, is that if we want to do something for God, instead of focusing on our capability, concentrate on our availability for we know that it is God through us and we can't do anything without Him. Once we make ourselves available for God's work, guess whose capabilities we rely on? God's!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
God has a Great Purpose for your life! As far as your unanswered prayers, remember that God is Faithful. What are we to do when we are seeking but not finding?
Jeremiah 29:12 - "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord...

Take courage my friend for the Battle is the Lord's and I urge you to keep striving for the truth. For it is the truth that will set you free and the Peace of God that surpasses all understanding will reign in your heart. May the Lord Bless you as you diligently seek Him and grant you Godly Wisdom and Strength through your journey.

In Christ,

Consumer Rights

All of us are consumers, but we do not always know our rights. The was this seminar conducted by A/P Catherine Tay on Legal issues in E-commerce. This is something good for us to know.

Do you notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded statement: "Goods sold are not returnable" or "No refund once sold".

The thing that can be learnt from the seminar is that "As long as your good is purchased for home use and not for business ( i.e. to be resold), the above exclusion clause is VOID. " That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is worded, you CAN get back all your money spent. You do not have to accept a repair on the good or an exchange. You CAN ask for a refund. AND you are LEGALLY right and entitled to! What a relevation!!

And most of the time the merchant will refuse to return you your money.

Her advice? From her own experience (and no less than 7 and all successful!), she will threaten the merchant with four words: "SEE YOU IN COURT!" The court here refers to the Small Claims Tribunal Court. However, you don't have to tell them what court! All you have to pay is RM10 admin fee and the loser (the merchant) will have to refund you the money PLUS the admin fee!

She shared this with us because she felt that even educated people are cowed by such unfair wordings (which includes her jaded friends who are not lawyers). Pls try not to let the merchant fleece you the next time you have a defective good.

In Malaysia, they file this on the 16th floor of Putra Place (The Mall opposite Putra World Trade Centre). The form cost RM5.00. The Tribunal will settle within 2 months period.

My new phobia

Since after my hospitalisation few months back, i have been lucky that I do not need to go back home from work by myself taking the LRT train home. That is because Ald has been so sweet to make sure he is able to send me home everyday. Until the day before yesterday, due to some work arrangement Ald unable to pick me up from my office so I had to go back by LRT train to a station which Ald is able to send me home from there. I really don't mind doing that once in a while after all I had been enjoying my share of convinience all these while and what is this small sacrifice that I have to make once in a while? I glady obliged to it.

Well, since I had that bad experience of getting really sick and the time it got extremely worst is when I was on the Star line LRT train, I have not been taking the Start LRT train home since then. So, two days ago when I have to go back this way again, I didn't know that I would have this new phobia of feeling my body falling sick again. The moment I step onto the train, standing at the exact same spot (well, that's my favourite spot), I really felt a mild panic attack. I think my brain really got a shock for it's life when I was horibly ill that day on the train and needed to be hospitalised. That's why when I go back by the same transport that day, my brain automatically play back the horrible ordeal that I had gone through at that time.

I couldn't provide the exact description on how I actually felt during the time I was on the Star LRT train 2 days ago. My body just suddently felt weaker and I would feel like I am about to faint, just like the day I was extremely sick on the train (minus the body numbness). Wow! This really freaks me out a little. I totally did not expect that I would have this phobia of getting on to Start LRT train when I go home. Oh! I certaintly do not want to feel panicky like this again. Hopefully my this new phobia will be gone in due time.

Hair Loss Solution

I have always has hair loss problem since my teenage years. Now I am in my tweenties and my problem is still there. My hair seems to fall out quite alot sometimes and it really freak me out. Well, I read there are many factors contributing to hair loss problem. It could be malnutrition, unhealthy diet, hereditary or stress. I do noticed that when I am highly stressed out, my hair does falls out alot. And in terms of eating the right nutrition everyday, this is rather hard to keep out too because of my busy working life, which I am sure it's hard for anybody else too.

I have tried out a few hair loss product. Mainly buying those shampoos and hair tonics which claim that it helps to prevent or manage hair loss problem. Until now, I haven't found any that really works. Not to mention, it is hard to maintain on the rigorous rountine especially when I don't really don't have time.

I have thought of buying those supliment to aid hair loss problem from the pharmacies because it's more convinient but those thing like putting some chemical into my body surely not something I would risk doing. Hence, I did not try out any of those suppliments mainly because the ingredients they use does give me "safe" feeling of taking it and I don't feel it is reliable.

But there is this hair loss product that I might try out. The name of the product is called provillus. After reading the product reviewed by people who are also as sceptical as me, and who has tried Provillus, I feel more confident and trust that their product does works well. And of course I view the ingredient that they use it looks safer compare to the rest that I saw selling in pharmacies. Plus the good thing is, it offers 100% money back guarantee.
