Jojo's Birthday

December 21st is Jojo's birthday. She is 3 years old this year. In the picture above, she is resting cozily in her favorite sleeping place. There's where she sleeps at night too. She chooses that spot since she's a small little puppy and has been sleeping there ever since. She likes to sneak in underneeth the pillow when she's cold. She's good at climbing up and down the bed. Something she already master it by the age of 5 months old. Although she's small and tiny, she got really strong legs to jump around. In the middle of the night, she will jump up and down the bed to go to the toilet or do whatever she want to do without my help. She's such a good and obidient girl.

Jojo's new cut

Took Jojo for a full grooming service last Saturday. This time we went to a pet shop cum grooming studio called Petsmore located at Queen’s Park, Peel Road, KL. I was surprised by the huge range of pet products they sell there. Some items which were always out of stock and unavailable at Pet’s Wonderland which I frequented to most often, were all available at Petsmore. We actually went there early around 11am and there were already a few on queues for the grooming service by appointment. We do not want to leave Jojo there alone for the long hours wait, so we made an available appointment at 4pm on the same day. We went back home and went there again later.

I was also surprised by the professionalism of the pet grooming service at Petsmore because unlike other pet grooming service, they did not put the dog to sleep before they begin grooming it. Furthermore, pet owners can see what’s going on inside the grooming room through the open glass panel. Most pet grooming studio does not allow owners and customers to watch pets being groomed. So, you would not know what has happen to your beloved pet inside there. I have taken Jojo for grooming service a few times. Sometimes she looked traumatized after it’s all done. But this time, she’s not. So, I’ll most probably going to take her back there again when she needs her grooming.

Well, Jojo’s fur was getting a bit too long and hard to maintain having the need to comb it very often so that it will look nice an silky. I admit that I am not very good at preventing tangles and keeping her fur neat when it reaches the hard maintenance length. So, that’s why she needs to go for the grooming service recently. It cost us RM70 for the full grooming package plus RM15 for detangling. I was quite satisfied by the outcome. Does anyone else besides me thinks Jojo looks nice with the new “hair-cut”.

Yummy raisins

I had a busy time during office hour lunch time today. Went to two banks to pay off my credit card bills and I wasted most of my time queuing up at the counter at one of the bank. This particular bank usually doesn’t have much customers waiting at the counters so this time it was quite unusual. Probably many people wanted to get their money changed for “ang pow” money to be given during Chinese New Year.

After my banking session, I went to buy some food for my lunch to be eaten in the office. No time to eat out today. Went to Jusco to buy egg sandwiches and a packet of ready-to-eat potatoes wedges. Wow! It was really filling; I shouldn’t have bought so much food when I was hungry. And I also bought these value buy raisins for Jojo. The price for the 3 packets of raisins is only RM2.99 (normal price for 1 packet is around RM1.60).


Apparently, Jojo likes to eat raisins. She will jump and spin around with some small barking whenever she sees us opens the fridge to take out the box of raisins. This has become quite an occasional treat for her. And she will gallop down those few pieces of raisins we gave her, like a hungry wolf. The last pack of raisins at home has long gone. So, I think today she’ll be very happy when I bring home these newly bought raisins.

The apple of my eye

I have been waiting to post about this for so long. Now that I have my new camera phone, it was easy to snap a memorable picture when ever I like.

This is Jojo, the apple of my eye. It has been so long since I last posted about her. We had just celebrated her 2nd birthday about a month ago. She’s 2 years old now. I could still remember how small she is when we had her at age 3 months old. That is just how time flies. She’s a bit bigger in size now but still consider as very small. I think it’s already her maximum growth. She won’t be growing any bigger now. The only major difference that we would be seeing is her fur coat colour changing. I heard a friend of mine who has the same dog breed mention to me that this breed will change colour over time. Indeed, it is true! Jojo’s fur was really dark all over when she was a puppy and it gradually turns lighter when she grows. I am fascinated by the many different colours she has now.

Although she an Australian Silky Terrier, she has a naturally curly fur. Probably puppies and the young have some sort of curly fur and it will be straighten up when they grow older later. Well, I’m not sure… I check out pictures of the same breed over the internet and saw that all of them have straight silky smooth fur. Don’t tell me they do re-bonding too!? Hahaha…. Anyway, Jojo does have a silky looking coat especially at her back and I love her just the way she is.

This is now - at 2 years old. This picture taken right after I groom her after her bath. After patiently trains her for so long, she now enjoys having me comb her fur nicely (with all the sweet talk and praising how pretty she is of course!)

This is how she bahaves everytime I comes home. She want's lots of pampering, hugs and kisses. Like people to scratch-scratch her belly.

When she sees me wake up in the morning, she wants more pampering, hugs and kisses. Also cannot miss out the belly scratching comfort which is a need each time she lies down cutely on her back. Notice her smile here? That's how happy and "cunning" she looks when she wants something and she gets it.

About Jojo

Jojo is the center of our love life now. Since the day she came into our life, we have been busy keeping ourself, if not each other busy in taking care of her. She is 3 months old then. It's like taking care of a baby, an addition into the family....so to speak. Yes, she's part of our family. Like someone very dear to our heart (at least to us both). We call her our beloved "daughter", our "little princess".

At 6 months old.

At 6 months old, her fur is long and fluffy... but alot of tangles because we didn't comb her at all. We started to nick name her "Little Bear Bear".... Took her to professional groomers for having her nails cut, fresh bath and grooming of course.

At 10 months old.


Clean cut look. We had to take her to the pet groomer to get all her fur cut off because she had an ugly tangled fur all over her body.... poor Jojo was quite unhappy after she had her fur cut off. But she's ok after Daddy gave her a kiss... At first she had cute yellow ribbons on top of each of her ears but we took it down because she's uncomfortable having it tied up tightly around her ears. Didn't got the chance to take her picture with the ribbons on her. She looks very cute with it though.

Yet to take her picture after her fur grown back. So, comming up next is picture of Jojo after her fur grown back nice and beautiful......
