My ideal contact lense

Before I start off my mumblings, I would like to make it clear that this is not a sponsored post and I am not paid to write this review. This is just my own review based on my own experience in using contact lenses. Okay, now read on if you are interested to know.

I first started wearing glasses when I was 16 years old. Back then I just treat it as my reading glasses. But later on my vision gets worst which it often the case when you are still schooling. So, I decided to get a contact lenses instead of wearing the ugly glasses all the time. I first started wearing soft lense contact lenses when I was 18-19 years old in college. And my first pair is a brand called Sequence by Bausch & Lomb. I felt very comfortable wearing it even on my first time. And I have been buying that brand of contact lenses ever since.

Later on, after 6-7 years of using Sequence, it was bought over by Acuvue by Johnson & Johnson. Bah... I was devastated as I have tried Acuvue before and I was feeling very uncomfortable wearing their contact lenses. I went to many optical shops and everyone said that Acuvue is the same as Sequence. So, I bought a box of Acuview clear which could last me for 3 months of supply. The moment I put it on, I can feel the discomfort unlike with the old Sequence brand that I couldn't feel there's anything inside my eyes.

After that, I tried another brand called AMO Complete Aquavision. That too, it wasn't suitable for my eyes. Same as Acuvue, I kept having blur vision and it makes my eyes really dry. No doubt both brands indicated that they have high content of water and it is thinly shaped that makes wearing it very comfortably and very suitable for everyone. But I found it to be the exact opposite. I bear with it until it finished.

So, after bearing all the discomfort for about 1 year, I decided not to buy any of those 2 brands even though it was recommended by the optician/sales person form optical shops. I made it a point this time when I shop for contact lenses again, I will make sure they recommend me other brands. And that's just what happen a few weeks back. There's this optical shop I went to near my work place who recommended me Softlens 38 Contact Lenses by Bausch& Lomb. And also recommended me another brand called O2 Optix which is too pricey for me. So, I bought Softlens 38. I have not been disappointed ever since I started wearing Softlens 38. It just feel so comfortable and easy to put on just like the first brand that I love. So, I am happy again to have found my ideal contact lense after all these while of agony.

If you haven't found your ideal pair of contact lenses, don't give up. Keep trying and one day you find the right one for your eyes.
